MEET YOUR DESIGNER

Hey there! I’m Andrea

My Path to Learning Design:

I’ve always been driven by a passion for learning and creativity, but my journey to becoming a Learning Experience Designer was anything but linear. With a background in Studio Arts and Instructional Technology, I found myself blending the visual arts with instructional design, where my creativity and tech-savvy skills could truly shine. After working as a Video Director, Multimedia Technician, and Instructional Technologist, I realized my calling was to create engaging learning experiences that make a meaningful impact. This fusion of art, technology, and education led me to build Indie LXD Studio—a place where learning is both innovative and deeply human.

What Inspires Me:

At the heart of my work is the belief that learning should be transformative. I’m driven by the power of well-crafted learning experiences to inspire change, spark curiosity, and empower individuals and organizations alike. Whether I’m designing a module, crafting a digital resource, or consulting on a curriculum, my goal is to create something that goes beyond the screen—a learning experience that resonates, educates, and motivates.

My Unique Edge:

What sets me apart as a Learning Experience Designer is my multidisciplinary background and commitment to user-centered design. My expertise spans instructional design, videography, and project management, but my true strength lies in my ability to weave these skills into a cohesive learning journey. By combining instructional technology with an artist’s eye and a designer’s intuition, I create experiences that not only educate but captivate. My approach is guided by empathy, an understanding of learner psychology, and a knack for crafting intuitive and visually appealing content.

Outside of Work:

When I’m not immersed in designing eLearning modules or exploring new instructional tools, you’ll find me out in Austin’s art scene, capturing moments with my camera, or experimenting in the kitchen with my latest recipe ideas. I’m also a dedicated runner, currently training for a half-marathon. And, of course, I spend a lot of quality time with Indie, my adventurous dog who shares my love for the outdoors and long walks around the city.

Curious about how we can work together to create learning experiences that truly make an impact?
